1. What kind of capabilities do you think one needs to start a business? Do you think they can be learned while working for a company?

To start your own business, a strong mind to change the world is necessary. There is one example that I experienced it. Recently, one of my friends started her own Edu Tech business. She has been working as a university entrance examination consultant for ten years. While helping their students, she found a huge gap between university needs and students' knowledge, so she started a make website where students can get entrance examination information and organize their portfolios. One day she made a wireframe, and explain that website, I saw a bright light in her eyes. It was a strong will to change the world better. I think awareness of problems and a strong mind to change the world can be learned while working for a company by working for others.

→ To become an entrepreneur, a desire to change the world is a prerequisite. I can attest to this statement through a personal anecdote. Recently, one of my friends went into the EdTech industry because of her experience as a standardized testing consultant for a university. While adhering to her duties, she noticed a gap between the university's needs and students' success. Therefore, she decided to make a website for students to obtain information and organize their portfolios. One day, she drew up a wireframe and explained the website to make it more intuitive. I could see a sparkle in her eyes - I knew that she was committed to making the world a better place. Therefore, we can identify problems by working for others. 

 

2. If you were to start your own business, what kind of business would it be?

If I start my own business, I will make a better reader life using technology. Recently, I have started to make an online bookstore website by myself. When we want to get knowledge of one industry or do better work, we usually find a 'good' book that is fit us, because we want to save time, not reading a not good book. So we usually want to get a recommendation from influencers or seniors who have great capability in our field. On the other hand, if I am a senior, I want to recommend a great book to a junior who wants to be an expert in their field. I want to use their needs and connect them to the website.

→ If I became an entrepreneur, I would like to delve into the reading business using technology. Many of us like to read in order to learn more about different industries. However, there is a plethora of books out there. How do we know which books are good or not? That's where my startup comes in - it allows seniors to recommend books to juniors and juniors can easily access recommended books to become experts in their fields.
