๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿป‍๐Ÿซ Overall Feedback

Wonderful job today, Ella! As always, you demonstrated clear and succinct ideas and were able to cover both professional and conversational topics. We focused on new vocabulary and improving grammar especially during this lesson in order to improve the natural flow and logic of the statements! Great work!

โœ๐Ÿป In-depth Feedback

1. (Small Talk) How's the weather there?

In morning temperature and evening temperature have a big gap.

The temperature dramatically drops from the morning to the evening, so I think this gap is making people sick.

→ Right now, we have high highs in the mornings and low lows evenings, so I think this dramatic drop is making people sick.

2. What part of the reading resonated with you most?

I agree with this part of the article. "While thinking through your own accomplishments, make sure also to chat with your managers and request constructive criticism and feedback on how you might better yourself. Because sometimes the manager and I had different views or thoughts on the same situation. For instance, I thought I communicate with co-workers on my project, but my manager gave negative feedback about my communication skills. So, we had to synchronize with different of our views through several meetings. From that point, I tend to ask the manager regularly what I have to improve in my work or project because I want to show the process of my growth until the next assessment period. From this cycle, my manager can evaluate my working skills from my past to now. Also, my manager can give some advice to improve my working skills.

→ I agree with the part of the article that says, "While thinking through your own accomplishments, make sure also to chat with your managers and request constructive criticism and feedback on how you might better yourself." Occasionally, my manager and I will not see eye to eye about a situation. For instance, I thought I was communicating well with my co-workers, but my manager had negative feedback for me on the matter. So, we had to get on the same page by meeting several times. Since then, I ask my manager regularly about how I can improve so that I can demonstrate how much I've grown before the next assessment period, which will allow my manager to more accurately evaluate my productivity and efficiency at work. In these conversations, my manager also gives me advice on how to improve.

3. Have you promoted yourself to managers in the past? If so, how did it go?

When I was a client manager in the new business team, I managed about 200 clients and made an automated system that I can manage customer information because there were many problems that we had many clients that we couldn't have handled. At the early stage of that team, it was hard to do all of the things but it was also a good chance to find what we have to do so I appealed to my CEO that we recruit interns. So I wrote a job description and attend an interview to recruit more coworkers. From this experience, finding needs in our organization and appealing to my boss is important to expand my team's power as a manager.
