Really great work today, Ella! You demonstrated strong clarity as always! Today, we focused on exercising your conversational English skills, so we focused on introducing lots of new native-speaking phrases for you to try out in conversation! Great work and I look forward to our next session!

โœ๐Ÿป In-depth Feedback

1. (Small Talk) What did you do today?

I went to a friend's house who had a young child.

I went to a friend's house and saw her young baby or newborn.

2. What do you value most in a job (money, role, benefits, career growth, etc.)?

The most important thing when I choose a job is 'career growth'. I think money and benefits naturally follow when I have good working skills. Also, personally, growth in my job means my influence and power grow bigger in the industry. That is why, career growth brings money, an influential role, and benefits like stock options. Especially, Engineers, who I want to be, should consistently study new technology or industry trends because technology changes so fast. It means their working school or performance. Because otherwise my career growth will be left behind.

→ I prioritize "career growth" mostly because I believe that money and other benefits naturally come when you have good working skills. In my industry, career growth means increased influence and power, so career growth inevitably brings money, influence, and benefits like the option to own stock or shares of a company. For an engineer, which is what I want to become, it's especially important to keep up-to-date with the latest trends in technology and innovation because technology is ever-changing, so I have to constantly work in school or improve my performance. If I don't keep up, I will be left behind. ( or Others might surpass me.)

3. Why do you think people nowadays hold multiple jobs throughout their careers rather than staying at one company?

Of course, some people like stability, so they want to hold one job in their lifetime. However, I think some people want to explore their potential and what they want to do and do very well. I want to explain it's like a 'test'. people can verify which job or company is good for them and I believe that tests will bring big career growth and value like money and influence.

→ It's totally natural for many people to prefer stability so they will settle for one job that they maintain their whole life. But nowadays, I think that people prefer testing the waters a bit more and are interested in expanding their true potential to find their best fit. By testing out multiple career paths, people can feel more at ease with the choice they eventually come to and feel like it's truly the right fit. In the end, I believe this process of elimination will bring people great growth in their careers and value through money and influence.
